
BRITISH BEAUTY WEEK ‘LIVE’ OPENS WITH A VISIT FROM RISHI SUNAK
It was a time for celebration in Covent Garden, London as British Beauty Week 2021 opened its doors to consumers, influencers and the press for what promises to be a brilliant showcase for the contribution, innovation, talent and thought leadership the beauty industry brings.
With No7 Beauty Company as lead sponsors of the showcase, Mark Winter and the No7 Beauty Company Leadership Team hosted a launch press briefing and joined the British Beauty Council’s CEO Millie Kendall to open up the exciting live event space in Carriage Hall. Themed ‘Beauty Re-imagined’ the 5-day showcase will define the trends shaping beauty today and deliver a playground for consumers to discover, explore and connect with the wonderful world of beauty.
Visit from Rishi Sunak – UK Chancellor
In an important mark of the value of the beauty industry to the UK economy – Rishi Sunak joined the launch and delivered a keynote speech:
“It’s fantastic to see the very best of what British Beauty has to offer – a growing industry that’s worth around £30bn to the UK economy”
He went on to acknowledge the important employment opportunities particularly for women and how he looks forward to seeing continuing growth and success for our ‘highly practical, technical industry’.
In a walk around the main brand pop-up area with Annie Murphy he enjoyed learning about the science behind No7 in an animated discussion with Dr Mike Bell our Head of Science Research and explored the benefits of Liz Earle Beauty Company’s natural skincare solutions.
