Liz Earle Beauty Co x WWF Partnership

Liz Earle x WWF

Liz Earle Beauty Co are proud to announce their partnership with WWF, working together to protect the UK’s natural habitats and help to restore biodiversity.

In the first year of the partnership, they’ll restore and protect seagrass meadows along the Isle of Wight coastline and across the UK. Liz Earle Beauty Co are thrilled to be partnering with WWF on such an important project which will positively impact the marine biodiversity and habitats across the UK.

Seagrass meadows are rapidly declining ecosystems with around 7% of their known area lost globally each year, this has a major biodiversity impact on our coastal ecosystems. These were once common in the UK, but 90% of them have been lost due to poor water quality, coastal development and aquaculture.

Liz Earle Beauty Co have been inspired by their beautiful Isle of Wight home, with half of the Island as designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ to protect and restore the UK’s natural habitats and ecosystems.

This isn’t the first time that Liz Earle Beauty Co have committed to helping the environment, in 2010 they purchased two hectares of overgrown wasteland. Now thanks to their dedicated Green Team it has become a thriving woodland, providing habitats for rare animals such as the red squirrel, bats and more. Showing that when given the chance to thrive, nature has an ability to bounce back.

WWF are working with Liz Earle Beauty Co to restore and protect seagrass meadows along the Isle of Wight coastline and across the country. Their combined vision is to see 2,500 hectares restored in the UK by 2050.
