About the role

An exciting opportunity has come up to join our Commercial Team where you will support our commercial growth agenda across international markets. International Business Development Manager post will play a pivotal role with our international growth initiatives. This role is essential in identifying new market opportunities, strengthening our presence in existing territories, and forging partnerships that elevate our brand globally.

Working cross-functionally with regional teams, global and local marketing, account teams, and finance, this role will deliver our expansion plans that broaden the presence of brands across the right international markets. Reporting into Head of International Category & Commercial Strategy, you will:

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and prioritise opportunities in both existing and new international markets to drive revenue growth

  • Build and nurture strong external relationships with key international retail partners and distributors

  • Develop and execute tailored go to market strategies, aligned with brand positioning and consumer trends

  • Conduct competitive analysis and monitor beauty trends to inform strategic decisions and market intelligence

  • Support negotiations with international partners to secure favourable terms and long-term collaborations / contracts

  • Ensure all international activities comply with local laws, trade regulations, and industry standards – ensuring a focus on regulatory compliance

  • Where relevant represent the brand at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to build visibility and credibility

  • Input into business cases and go to market strategies for new channels, markets, and customers

  • Performance Report: tracks KPIs, prepare forecasts, and presents growth strategies to senior leadership

What you'll need to have

  • Proven experience in international business development, ideally within the beauty, cosmetics, or wellness sectors

  • Experience with global market dynamics, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior

  • Effective communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability, to influence across a matrixed organisation and build strong external partnerships

  • Strategic thinker with a hands on approach to execution

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operation teams

  • Proficiency in market research and data interpretation

  • Strong understanding of category management, retail dynamics, and commercial levers (pricing, promo, assortment)

  • Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies across multiple international markets

  • Understand how to synthesise market, shopper, consumer and commercial insights into compelling narratives that drive decision-making

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and navigating evolving priorities

  • Track record of identifying, evaluating, and delivering successful new market or retailer entries

  • Understanding of international trade dynamics, competitive landscapes, and go-to-market strategies

  • Models exemplary leadership behaviors

  • Passionate about beauty, commercially-minded and experienced in navigating diverse international landscapes

It would be great if you also have

  • Degree in business, marketing, international Relations, or a related field

  • Experience launching beauty products in international retail or e-commerce channels

  • Familiarity with regulatory environments in key regions (e.g., EU, Middle East, Asia-Pacific).
