A Day in the Life of a No7 Advisor | Jennifer’s No7 Career Journey

Our No7 Advisors help customers feel confident in their skin through personalised beauty advice, Pro Derm Scan consultations and expert product knowledge. In this blog, Jennifer shares a behind-the-scenes look at her daily routine, her training journey, and what she loves most about being part of the No7 team.

Tell us about your career journey and how you became a No7 Advisor?

I joined No7 in April 2024 as a Customer Advisor at a fast-paced flagship store. I felt that becoming a No7 Advisor would be a perfect fit for me as I’m passionate about helping people feel their best through makeup and skincare. Not to mention my never-give-up attitude. Since starting, my Regional Business Manager (RBM) recognised my strengths in social media and gave me the opportunity to take part in content creation, collaborate on creative video ideas and preview new product launches. The sneak peeks were my favourite part! I’m also fortunate that my RBM has noticed my passion for teaching. As a result, I’ve been appointed as an in-store Advisor Trainer for new No7 Advisors. It’s incredibly rewarding to support new team members, helping them settle into the role while ensuring they’re equipped with the knowledge needed to deliver the best service to our customers.


What does a typical day as a No7 Advisor look like? 

No two days are the same as a No7 Advisor, and that’s what makes it so exciting! I always start by checking the diary to see how many appointments we have for the day, and then I dive into serving our amazing customers. Appointments are my favourite part of the job because they give me the chance to connect with customers on a one-on-one basis and understand exactly what they want to achieve. The Pro Derm Scan Device makes this process so much easier, as it analyses customers’ skin health and helps me recommend the right products to meet their specific goals.
After appointments, I often focus on visual merchandising, ensuring that No7 is always looking its best in-store. Throughout the day, I’m constantly interacting with customers, discussing the benefits of No7 products, and learning how we can best serve them.
I wrap up my day by restocking and cleaning the counter, preparing for the next day’s activities.

Did you receive any formal training to become a No7 Advisor?

My time at university studying makeup design was incredibly helpful in building my confidence, especially in areas like colour theory and skin science. 
No7 offers excellent training for new advisors. The information packs are incredibly clear, making it easy to absorb even the most detailed information about skincare and makeup. The blend of online and in-person learning was a pleasant surprise, as it allows us to explore the products in a hands-on way, which sparks creativity and excitement for what’s to come.


What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love being part of a brand that aligns with my values—especially No7’s commitment to real results and authenticity, such as their no-airbrushing policy. It’s a brand that truly resonates with everyone, and I enjoy showing customers how No7 can meet their needs, whether it’s through the Future Renew range or the Pro Artist cosmetics.
As a makeup artist, my favourite part of the role is conducting the Love Your Looks appointments. I love teaching customers how to apply makeup to achieve their desired results. It’s such a rewarding experience to see them leave feeling more confident and empowered.

What has been your proudest moment so far in your career journey?

My proudest moments have been when I’ve had the chance to coach new advisors. In just one day, I’ve seen their confidence grow in both customer interactions and product knowledge. Receiving positive feedback from them once they return to their own stores, and seeing their continued success, really makes me feel proud to have been part of their journey with No7.

How do you see your career developing over the next few years - what’s next for you?

I see my career with No7 as being long and fulfilling. I’m passionate about teaching, so I would love to join the regional training team, helping new advisors grow as well as being part of large-scale events like our yearly conference.
My biggest career goal is to join the artistry team, travelling the country to showcase No7 at events like roadshows, runway shows, and new store openings. I’m excited about the possibilities and eager to contribute to No7’s success on a global scale.
I’m already on my way to advancing in my role, as my RBM has selected me to join the Step Up to Business Manager programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to upskill further, and I’m really looking forward to what the future holds!
