Careers- Behind the Scenes at No7 with Sophie

Sophie enjoys the balance her role offers, where a structured start to the day naturally evolves into a dynamic mix of admin and creative work. While she begins each morning by reviewing messages, emails, and setting out her priorities, no two days are ever truly the same. Depending on the time of year, her focus shifts between major campaigns and seasonal projects, allowing her to work across everything from planning and organisation to creative development and collaboration with agencies.

What does a typical day look like for a No7 Brand Assistant?

I always start my day the same by looking through team’s messages and emails and beginning to write my to-do list for the day. My day, full of admin jobs consists of raising POs, organising meeting agendas and booking meeting rooms, which is usually woven in with my more creative work. That includes briefing agencies for upcoming photo-shoots, organising and sending out samples, briefing, designing and reviewing any loyalty activity we have going live, and occasionally helping the social team with content creation.

How has your role evolved since you started?

I have only been in the role for just under a year but in that time, I have been given more responsibility and more projects to work on. This has really helped me to learn quickly in the role and has given me the chance to work on so many incredible projects.

How have you been supported in your personal or professional development?

I often have development time with my line manager, this is time purely for me to discuss how I want to progress, and my manager will provide me with support and guidance on how to achieve my goals. There is always the opportunity to get a mentor, this is a great way of trying out different roles within the business as you learn from those in role. It also is a great way to learn more about your peers, which also further helps your own career by providing a greater understanding of different business functions.

Can you share a moment where you felt you were really making a difference?

We held a VIP Day for loyal Future Renew users; we invited five lovely ladies to join us to talk about their experiences of using the serums. This was a point in my career where I felt proud of what I do. We prepared goodie bags for all the women, and they were so appreciative and grateful not only for the gifts but for the opportunity to be there. Their genuine reactions throughout the day not only made for a successful day of content but truly made the whole experience ten times better.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about working here?

No7 is a huge brand which comes with a lot of responsibility and often pressure, but after every launch, every piece of content that goes live it fills you with genuine pride and honour to work for such an iconic and, long-lasting brand.
